About the Scholarship

This scholarship is to honor the life and legacy of Lee Thompson Young. He was a gifted and talented child from a long line of storytellers. Lee was a stellar student and actor. He embodied the essence of excellence in all that he pursued. The Lee Thompson Young Foundation will award financial assistance and emotional support to students who are entering college for the first time. They will be part of our LTYF well-being group, which will offer them peer support and access to mental health professionals.

General Criteria 

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a graduating senior from High School

• Have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher

Additional Requirements

• Completed online application submitted by June 30, 2026

• Two Letters of Recommendation (PDF Format only to be uploaded)

• An official or unofficial transcript (PDF Format only)
